    TriSpeed Challenge

    Paule Kremer had a storming weekend winning the TriSpeed challenge consisting of a 10km run, a triathlon, and a duathlon. She managed some great times finishing on the podium in each with a PB in the 10k and is now vice national champ!

    The Weakest Link

    Both the Phoenix mans and womens team finished first in The Weakest Link. The men finished just over 2 minutes ahead of the 2nd place mens team and the women just over an astonishing 5 minutes ahead of the 2nd place womens team. I do not have details of the teams or their splits just yet but details will follow.

    Well done to the U13 Phoenix members who travelled to Lewes to complete in the Under 13 League East Division. Some highlights are William Saunders finishing 1st in the Boys B Long Jump, Louisa Sanders in the Girls A 75m, Almi Neruaker in the Girls A 1000m (21seconds ahead of 2nd!!), and Naomi Fontyn in the Girls B 1000m.

    A good race for Sean Scott finishing 3rd in his category. He also unsurprisingly had the fastest bike split of the day and, with much less training the usual, had the fastest run spilt too! Just need to work on that swimming...

    Bristol Harbourside Sprint Triathlon

    Iain Martin had a bit of a spill during this race putting him out of contention for qualifying for the ITU Sprint World Championships but Tim Woodman finished 10th so hopefully he will make it in with the roll down! Fingers crossed...

    Well done to Steven Johnson who finished Wimbleball 70.3 in 7:25:31. This is definitely one of the thoughest middle distance triathlons out there and with some heavy rain on the bike, this year was no acception!

    Colin Simpson, Tim Woodman, and Claire also travelled out to Alanya for the Sprint Championship. Colin managed to have a good swim but then came into some problems on the bike leg when his crank fell off! After trying to ride one legged with the chain repeated falling off, he bravely jogged the remaining 2miles bare foot and in 30 deg heat.
