South Downs Way Relay
Sat 6 Jun 2015
One of the club's favourite races now in its 29th year, the South Downs Relay did not disappoint. Teams of 6 run a total of eighteen gruelling, hilly legs on the South Downs Way between Beachy Head and Winchester. Four teams, along with their drivers, flew the flag for Phoenix. Although a total of 67 teams were running, results are split into different race categories. As well as coming third in their race in a club record time the vets were 6th overall. The Senior As were lucky to field a team as a late injury led to a search for a last minute replacement.

Lancing: Sussex XC League Race 4
Sat 14 Feb 2015
The final race of the Cross Country League race was moved from Bexhill to Lancing, but this didn't stop Phoenix turning up and picking up a few medals in both individual and team events to round off the season. Highlights include top spot finishes in the League for Almi Nerurkar (U15 Girls) and Paul Whelpton (v60 men), both of whom won all three of the races they contested; Charlotte Matthews joining Almi on the U15 Girls podium coming third overall; and Ollie Johnson's second place overall in the U17 Men contest. Thanks to a strong performance in the last race, the veteran men ended up third in the League. A full round up of individual results over the 4 races will be posted once available.
