The senior men were defending champions at the Sussex Road Relay Championships at Christ Hospital on 11 April. This time it was bronze for the team with Josh Guilmant running a storming leg for individual silver.

At the British Duathlon Champs in Milton-Keynes on Sun 5th April Nigel Herron qualified to go to the ETU Duathlon European Championships in Budapest on 24 May. See the forum for his race report. Well done Nigel!

Mike Murphy broke the three hour barrier with a splendid 2:58:36 at the Rotterdam Marathon on April 5th. This should spur on the others in Malcolm's training group who are eyeing the same target in London.

The Reading Half Marathon has become very popular with Phoenix Athletes in recent years. It's reasonably flat well-organised and perfect for pbs. This year's hopefuls were not disappointed.

A record 172 ran the Hove Park 5K timetrial on 21 March and Phoenix athletes Josh Guilmant and Matt Barrie lit the event up on their debuts.

Phoenix athletes were in action at the English Schools Cross country Championships at Stanford Hall on Saturday 21st March. Charlie Grice came 28th in the Inter Boys race and Max Pickard (pictured) came 98th. In the Inter Girls race Beth Kidger came 77
