Sussex Road Relays 2022

Highlight of the day for Phoenix was the win for the Under 15 boys team with Owen Wallek running the fastest under 15 age group leg of the day. His 4mins.44secs making up a substantial gap on the runner in front.

Matthew Noakes and Raphael Read both recorded times in the top 10 age group of the day, on legs 1 & 2.

For the under 11 girls, the A team of Iris Hunter, Stella Gambie and Katherine Haslip were rewarded with 2nd place medals. Under 11 boys ran to 3rd, with Jay Sutton, Raffi Annaafiz and Otis Lott.

The Under 13 boys team picked up 3rd place medals and in their team were Lewis Wilby, Jake Pursey and Raffaelle Barra

In the Womens race, which was combined with Under17 and Under 20's, Phoenix A team, Maia Hardman, Sofia Akilade and Alice Wright not only picked up 2nd place but also 1st and 2nd fastest times of the day for Maia and Alice.

The combined Senior/U17/U20 mens team ran to 3rd place with a team of Ali Carter, Sam Peters, Ash Dorrington & Miles Waterworth ; with the Masters O40 team of Jon Clays, Stuart Roberts and Ian Leitch              coming home in 2nd.

For the Masters over 50 team it was 2nd for the A team and 3rd for the B team

For the Masters over 60 team it was 2nd for the B team and 10th for the A team (we got our numbers the wrong way round)
