Sunday 13th May saw Phoenix athletes out in force at the Sussex Track & Field Championships. This 2 day track & field event, held at the K2 in Crawley, saw a strong field with lots of records broken. The weather tested the athletes further - raining one day, sunshine the next.

Noted here are those who medalled but a huge well done to all the athletes who ran, jumped, threw and vaulted to represent Phoenix.

800m: U15 Boys saw Cassius Hebdan take silver and a silver and bronze for U15 Girls Girls Flora Davis and Jessica Farrant. There was a further bronze for Lauren McLellan in the U15 Girls tripple jump.

The U17 women had a haul of medals too: Milly Dickinson finished second in her heat to take gold in the final in the 800m whilst Alice Wright finished in silver in 3000m and Daisy Mason bronze in the pole vault.
