¡Hasta La Vista Hastings!

The second and final trip to Hastings in this year's Sussex Grand Prix - for the Keith Chandler Memorial 5 Miles on May 13th - brought another good set of results for Phoenix . This year's new SGP scoring system means that all our runners, wherever they finished, contributed to the team score, not just the high fliers, of whom there were many. Ash Dorrington, James Miles, Tom Hooper, Erica Martin, Bobby Searle, Amelia Culshaw and Caz Garrett all made it into the top 20 male/female finishers and there were age category wins for Phil Hampshire, Andrew Haig and Paul Whelpton (whose V65 time was the fastest in the UK this year). The only disappointment was the lack of a couple more female runners - we had 8 solid performances but really need at least 10 runners (of any standard!) to challenge for the Women's title this year.
