Brilliant turn out for Sports Hall

Saturday 9th December was the first sports hall meet of the season. Phoenix had a brilliant turnout of athletes some competing in their first meet. The result was close, with Phoenix only missing out on winning by 2.5 points.

Phoenix had 25 1st places, 25 2nd places, 7 3rd places and 3 4th places.

In the sprints the U11 the girls had a clean sweep on wins: well done to Angelina Bowen, Kira Betts and Leia Roesnior. The boys also had 2 wins from Harrison Poole and Reiss Bernard who have just started training with the club.
We also had a 123 of Elisia Morlen, Angelina Bowen and Kira Bettsin in the U11 girls standing long jump, whilst U13 Natasha Bowen jumped 2.20.

Thanks to all parents who came and supported the athletes, to Mike Townley who looked after the boys, Paula Bowen who looked after the girls, to Steve Hardman who ran the long jump with me and to the athletes who took part.
