Good in the wood

Saturday 14th October saw the first of four races in the Cross Country League. Held at Goodwood, this year saw nine races with record numbers of participants.Races include U11, U13, U15, U17, U20 boys/girls categories and senior & vet women & men's races. Distances vary for each category.

Phoenix was well represented in most races with some top positions - well done especially to Mathew Noakes (4th U11 boy), Alice Wright (2nd U15 girl), Almi Nerurkar (2nd U17 girl) and Max Dumbrell (4th senior man).

Phoenix have representation in division 1 and 2 for the women and 1,2 and 3 for the men - maintaining these positions this year relies on athletes turning up to represent the club so if you haven't done this before, please come along. Entries are done on the day - check Phoenix website for details. It's good training in beautiful surroundings!
