Tri-ing times

The Mid Sussex Triathlon sees the start of the hotly contested Phoenix Multisport Championship....

We had five members take part in the Mid Sussex Triathlon on Sunday 12th June; Malcolm Hughes, Mark Walker, Emma Wrightman, Liz Halliday and Izzy Anderson. This is the first of our five events that qualify for the Club Multisport Champs this year.

This is a very well organised and friendly event, over an easy flat course. It's a shame the weather wasn't as bright and cheery as after setting up in transition the drizzly rain began. By the time we finished it was several degrees colder and raining properly. Thankfully there was no wind!

Well done to Malcolm and Emma for their age group wins and to Izzy for completing her first triathlon; she did very well to finish with a smile, even saying she had enjoyed it, so we should see more of her on the Tri scene going forward - well done Izzy!
