Jon Pepper run’s Club Record 2.19.10 Marathon
Thursday 24th October 2013
Jon is one determined individual and had painstakingly gone about preparing for his third Marathon with crushing 100 mile weeks multiple gym sessions on top of a full time job!
This week the hard work and dedication to a lifelong dream paid off as he ran though the line at the Toronto Marathon (12th) in a new club record of 2.19.10 taking 80 seconds off the record and putting his name next to Phoenix legends Steve Ovett (800/1500m) and Mark Rowland (steeple Chase) .
His time puts him 6th in the UK and in line for a possible major championship call up. It has taken Jon 1 1/2 years to learn the fine art of marathon running and he will be looking to lower his PB further at the London marathon next year.
We all wish him luck in taking the next step in pursuit of his dream to represent his country at the highest level.
Go Get It Jon!
