Charlie Grice Wins Brighton and Hove Sports Personality of the Year!

Thursday 24th October 2013

After an outstanding year that saw Charlie take silver in the 1500m European U23 Championships and run a staggering 3.54 mile his achievements have been recognised by Brighton and Hove City awarding him Sports Personality of the Year 2013.

Sports Personality normally infers that you are credited with more than just your sporting achievements and this could be no truer in Charlie’s case. He has an active and keen interest in how the younger athletes are progressing in the club and is always ready to give advice if he feels it will be of help. He is also always ready to step up to the plate for the team in major championships.

A perfect mix of individual determination and respect for his roots

A special mention should also be given to Paul Collicutt who was runner up in the coaching award for the work he does alongside Jon Bigg and Joel Kidger.
