Preston Park: Phoenix runners hold course records
Continuing her blistering start to the season, Almi Nerurkar broke the women's course record in the 3rd Preston Park Run held on May 4th.
Almi, who is not yet 13, ran the 5km course in 19mins20 to beat the women's record and score the highest age grade percentage (84.22%).
This means Phoenix are dominating the local run as both she and Ben Tickner hold the course records for Phoenix, with Ben taking the men's record in the first run (15mins40).

On the same day Almi's friend Naomi Fonteyn was running at Hove Park where she finished third woman in 19:24, breaking Almi's week old JW14 record in the process. In the same event Bruce Warren ran a great pb to win the men's race in a time of 17:22 which puts him third in the VM50 rankings.
