Alice top of the rankings

First in UK for Alice

At the Watford open meeting on 10th August, Alice Wright added to her Sussex 3000 metre title, with a 4.18.74 personal best 1500 metres, to take 5 seconds from her personal best which she only set in June and go to the top of the UK rankings for the under 20 age group. After many injuries in recent years, this has been a very good year for Alice as she also prepares to begin her University studies in London. 

Steve Atkinson, current GB Masters V50 age group 400 & 800m champion, ran his fastest 800m time of the season with 2:07.63. This ranks him 2nd V55 in 2022 so far and shows the fitness which gained him a place in the final at the Masters World Championships in Tampere, Finland recently.
