AGM and Withdean Track Hire

The Board have negotiated an agreement with Freedom Leisure (due to start this April subject to members' agreement at the AGM) to hire Withdean Stadium for our Wednesday evening 5.30pm-8pm training sessions. The new scheme offers big savings for most of our club members/parents. As the club will now be responsible for paying weekly hire charges to Freedom Leisure,The Board are proposing a new simplified two-tier membership scheme, with annual subscriptions of £35 for junior (under-17), unwaged and full-time student members, and £45 for other senior members. There will no longer be any family or other discounts, though The Board will still have the discretion to grant free or discounted membership in cases of financial hardship or on other grounds.

For all but under-11s, this represents an increase of just £6 a year on present subs. These proposed increases have been kept to the absolute minimum, taking into account the club's current relatively healthy financial state as well as our plans for future fundraising.
