New Manager for U13 boys
Saturday 24th April 2010
Quenton Davis, father of Archie Davis (pictured) has taken over as manager of the U13 boys. This team has been pretty successful in recent years so a big thank you goes to Ian Reynolds, the previous incumbant. Quenton is very keen to raise the profile of junior athletes on the website and elsewhere with fixtures and results regularly posted which will, hopefully, encourage more competitiveness.
Son, Archie is having a particularly successful season already, as year 6 Sussex schools (6 Feb) and Brighton Schools (13 Mar) XC champion, 1st U13 1200m (Crawley pre-season open 28 Mar) 4:00, 1st U13 boy (Brighton Marathon mini mile 8 April) 5:46 and 3rd U13 boy 600m (Haywards Heath Harriers Open 22 April) 1:50.
Quenton says:…I am a reasonably quiet person but was involved in senior football for a long time & would describe myself as very competitive. However, I appreciate that not everyone is & I shall remain diplomatic in my approach; Archie ran in the recent XC league, where he & Billy White made up the Phoenix team effort. If we could have got 1 more runner we would have done quite well in the team events
