A Frosty first

The mutlisport season kicked off with the annual Frosty Aquathon and gold for Phoenix's Sam Wade & Malolm Hughes.

Starting with a 800m swim the athletes then take on a 10km run along the seafront in what always feels like frosty conditions.

This year the run saw the athletes battle the toughest weather conditions for the run with the runners being blown in all directions across the different lengths of the course. Sam Wade finished in a total time of 43:59 followed by John Tindell (18th), Malcolm Hughes (20th & 1st Vet), Ro Harrington (42nd), Bobby Searle (43rd) & Emma Wrightman (50th).

Bobby attributes staying clam in the water and a smooth transition (i.e not getting your Phoenix top stuck in transition!) to a good result.
