Leagues ahead
The first race in the CountyCross County League, at Goodwood October 15th, saw Phoenix out in force - and with some good team and individual results, this force proved more than just numbers of athletes.
Phoenix had 9 womens teams in the U17, senior and Vets categories with teams for U11 and U15 Girls. The U15 girls achieved 2nd place whilst the Senior women are currently placed 1st in division 1 and 3rd in division 2.
Furthermore, there was 7 men's teams (U20, Seniors, Vets) and U11 and U15 Boys with
2nd place in division 1 and 1st & 2nd division 3 for the Senior men and 3rd place for the Vets.
Congratulations to Leo Brewer (2nd U15 boy) and Almi Nerurkar 1st U17 (& 2nd over all) and 2rd overall Beth Kidger (U17).
With 3 races to go there's everything to race for! Next up: 12th November at Lancing.
