Tune in to the Youth Commonwealth Games in Samoa where Phoenix has not 1 but 2 athletes representing England.....
Phoenix are proud to support Archie Davies and Toby Harries as these talented athletes represent their country in this prestigious event. Running between September 5 th 12th the Youth Commonwealth Games is open for athletes aged 16 - 17 years and is an important stage in the development in many of the senior international athletes.
Archie Davies rans in a straight final over 1500m on Sat 8th finishing in fourth place in 3:55:42, a fantastic result. Archie then then subbed in the sprint relay ensuring England a fourth place.
Toby Harries had a busy schedule, winning both his 200m heats and finishing a storming second in the final in 20:56. He recorded his 3rd sub 20 second clocking in the final and had the same time as the winner. He is the ONLY Sussex athlete of any age to go under 21 seconds and finishes the season at the age of 16 ranked 15th in the UK as a whole. Well done Toby
