Southern U20 & Senior Champs

At last weekends South Of England track and Field Champs Phoenix had a small group of athletes who on the whole performed very well. Top of the bunch was Pat Davoren ( pictured in his race ) who won the 3kms steeplechase in a Season's Best time of 9:33:87. Pat has been covering 100 miles a week and is feeling good and looking strong off it. Flo Ray also posted a season's best when coming 6th in the Senior Women's 1500m with a time of 4:37.81. Personal bests where recorded by Josh Guilmant in the Senior Men's 5kms when he came 8th in 14:58:04 and Savannah Echel Thompson when she came 6th in the U20 Women's 400m final in a time of 56:43. Sarah Tomlins was 5th in the Senior Women's 400m final with 55:52 and Crawley's Joel Kidger who trains with Phoenix came 4th in the Senior 800m final in 1:51:89. Sundai Boulton went out in the U20 Women's 800m heats.
