Liz comes fifth

Liz came 5th in her AG, she came out of the water in 8th but progressively made up 3 places on the bike, much to Liz's dismay the run was shortened to 14km instead of 21km due to the heat but she was able to hold strong, finishing in 5th place. She also had the fastest T2 time overall! She finished overall in  5hours 32. 

Gemma Shadbolt also had a stormer on the bike, making up 4 places and finished in a comendable 11th place taking 4 hours 56 to complete the middle distance event.

Myanna Duncan raced the day before in a wetsuit illegal aquathon. This was her first Age Group appearence following a series of races this year including Paris Marathon, she was in great shape and she finished 6th place in 42 minutes 28 - well done Myanna!
