Brighton Half Marathon

Prizes and club records at Brighton Half
80 Phoenix athletes completed the Brighton Half marathon in cold but perfect conditions. Amy Harris and Simon Heath took advantage with each taking 3rd place and Amy capturing the Half marathon club record to add to her Marathon record from 2022. Paul Wishart won the M50's with a superb 79.17 clocking ; Sibel Latchman was 3rd in the F40 category
In the Mini Miles held on Hove Lawns before the main race, Zachary Horsfield won the Under 10's race and Yasmin House, also a talented footballer, won the girls Under 13 race with Louie Pegley taking 3rd in the boys Under 13 race ; Jake Pursey was 2nd in the Under 15's and was well backed up by Alex Cheeseman, Vince Pegley and Lewis Wilby giving Phoenix 4 in the first 8 finishers. Isabella Paulson-Jones just missed out on a rostrum spot with 4th in the Under 15 girls event.
