Late season track action - Tooting and Watford

PB's for Raph and Alice at Tooting

Phoenix athletes went seeking fast end of season times on 24th August at Tooting and Watford.

At Watford, Steve Atkinson was 2nd in his attempt at moving up the UK V55 Masters rankings, with a 4:31.92 1500m.

At Tooting Raphael Reed, Alice Wright and Flora Davis all ran 800m races.

Raph & Alice were pitted against each other in the same heat, and a really close race ended with both running PB's. Raph coming home 1st in 2:07:07 with Alice close behind in 3rd also a PB with 2:07:46 to remain 6th on the UK U20 rankings.

Flora grew in confidence as she ran strongly on the 2nd lap to move up to 4th in the final 200m and only just missed 3rd place on the line to run her fatest time since returning from injury with 2:27:72.

Friends of Brighton Phoenix from USA, Hobbs Kessler and Eric Avilla, almost dead heated with 3:58 in the mile.
