Leo Stars in Liverpool

In one of the last races to take place before  the current suspension of all events four of our youngsters turned out to represent Sussex Schools in the English Schools Cross Country Championships, held  as in the scenic Grade 1 Listed  Sefton Park in Liverpool on 14th March.  Leo Brewer (yes, still a schoolboy despite leaving many of our seniors stars trailing in his wake!) produced another fine performance, finishing 17th in a field of over 300 in the Senior Boys event. Leo was the first Sussex athlete home and led his team to an excellent 4th place in the Intercounties competition. In the Senior Girls’race Milly Dickinson was also the first Sussex athlete home,  finishing in 60th place, with Amy Lennard and Mia Edwards behind her in 198th and 235th respectively.
