Double trouble

Double Trouble at the Sussex Road Relays at Christ's Hospital School.

8th April saw Phoenix compete in the Sussex Road Relays. Set in the beautiful Christ's Hospital School Phoenix caused double trouble by winning the Senior Men's (for the 8th year running) and the Senior Women's races.

Causing trouble were Finn McNally, Declan Neary, Robbie Fitzgibbon (3rd fastest lap), Sam Wade, Dan Stidder and Spencer Thomas (2nd fastest lap) and Sophie Mansfield (3rd fastest lap), Maia Hardman and Beth Kidger (fastest lap).
There was a further double with the V50 men's team of Paul Wishart, Nigel Herron and Steve Atkinson and the V60 men Malcolm Kemp, Andrew Haig and Paul Whelpton (fastest lap) both taking silver.

It was good to see Phoenix competitors race in all the age groups with the U13 and U15 girls (pictured), Senior women and men and V60 men especially well represented.
