Reuben blazes a trail at Hove Park

At the 5k park run in Hove Park on Saturday 1 May, newly registered junior Reuben Hoyte knocked 9 seconds off his PB to finish in a time of 19.59, an outstanding run considering he is still only 10 years old. Reuben is the son of Kurt & Caroline Hoyte, both wel-known Sussex athletes.Caroline holds the women's record at Hove Park.

Archie Davisran a PB of 20.01in only his second park run and Will Russell ran aPB of 22.41.
Vet, Jon Pike also ran a 19:15 pb at the same event.

Phoenix have a strong record at the time trials with Josh Guilmant still the overall record holder (and first in the M25-29 band) and Matt Barrie (M15-19), Dave Carter (M35-39) and Andrew Haig (VM 60-64) all leading their age groups.

STP PRESS: At the trials 8 May Andy Bone (VM 40–44) ran himself into second place with a magnificant 17:59 PB. Meanwhile Will Russell lowered his PB yet again to 22:26.
