Grand Prix still on course

Phoenix are still on course to medal in the Sussex Grand Prix. With 2 more races left, here's a round up from Paul Whelpton:

“It looks like we will now be at least two races short of the 80 max for the Womens Team medal as the sliver of a chance of catching Hailsham has disappeared, but our main rivals for 2nd spot Wadhurst look like being at least 6 races short, (probably more when the full results from Lewes are out) so we should still be ok. Our Vet women are fourth in the official stats and I think third in terms of average points per race spot so more medals possible there too! Main rivals I think are Hailsham, Wadhurst and Eastbourne.

In the worst case scenario we might need anyone injured to walk round at Crowborough, though if we get a good turnout at Hove Prom we could be pretty much home and dry before Crowborough.

The men's teams are on top spot in the official stats - hot favourites for first place, with Wadhurst , Seaford , Haywards Heath and Hailsham in pursuit.
Our Vet men also lead the official stats though are not such strong favourites, with the same four teams in pursuit.

We are also strong favourites to take the overall combined Mens/Womens title.”
