Cross Country Champions

Well done to the Phoenix runners who took part in the Sussex School's Cross country championships.
Held at the Waterhall site in Brighton, the runners took on frozen ground rather than mud in what proved to be artic conditions.
Almi Nerurkar remains in a league of her own - the reigning U17 Intermediate and County champion won with a comfortable lead. Well done also to Maia Hardman for finishing in bronze - the first time she has run this race.
In the U20 men's race, Phoenix's Daniel Stidder finished the 7.1k course in 26.23 to take gold.
