Iron Phoenix

Iron Phoenix

You might think that an Iron Phoenix might not be much to write home about, what with its dodgy power to weight ratio - but you would be wrong.

In the last couple of weeks Phoenix athletes have turned in great performances across Europe

At Nottingham in the Outlaw:
Bob Novis takes the age group win - and the age course group record by a mere eleven minutes - at the Outlaw triathlon, finishing in 11:08
Debbie Evers comes home in 14:32 - a new PB - and another age group win

In Kent, at the Bastion:
Miles Davidson takes seventh overall at the Bastion, sixth man, and and second in his age group in 11:55. The Bastion is a hideously tough race in Kent - and Miles's first iron-distance event.

At Maastricht in Ironman Netherlands:
Geoff Pike finishes Ironman Netherlands Maastricht in 11:45, rounding things off with a magnificent 3:57 marathon. Again, this is Geoff's debut at the distance.

At Poznan, in Poland at Challenge Poznan:
Glenn Church knocks a mere 46 minutes off his half-Ironman PB in 2015, to come home in 5:06.

Congratulations all round to the all rounders and to Jon pike for this report
