Sussex Athletics Champs!

Well done to all those who competed in the Sussex Athletics Championships....

Naomi Owolabi won the girls shot equalling the championship best with a massive throw of 11.42. She also won the 100m in a season's best of 12:89 and was a quarter of the bronze medal relay team of Naomi, Jemima O'Connor, Melissa Yassar and Phoebe Thoms who took bronze in a time of 53.12. This fantastic time puts them in the top 40 in the country.

Setting a new Championships record Almi battled a sprint finish to win, outrunning U20 and Senior athletes who also set pbs.

Gold medals were also by Maia Hardman in the U15 girls 800 and 1500 metre races.

Well done to Harry Swindells (gold in U20 men 800m), Daniel Stidder (gold and a new pb 1500m U20 men), Elishka Coupa (U20 women, season's best time and gold position), Jack Mitchell (senior men's 800m gold), and Pat Davoren (senior 1500m gold).
