Fastest 17 year old in the UK
Archie Davis followed up his record breaking run at Lee Valley with a 1500m PB at the Ireland Athletics Games in Athlone ensuring more records....
Finishing in 3.48.63, a close second, Archie led from the front for most of the way until the last 200m when an Irish runner called Joe Warne pipped him at the post.
This now puts Archie fastest U20 Indoors in Europe this year, 3rd fastest in the world and places him fastest 17 year old ever in the UK.
As the 8th fastest U20 indoors runner ever in the UK, Archie joins 2 other Phoenix athletes as Charlie Grice is placed 10th with 3:48:82 and Robbie Fitzgibbon 3rd with 3:47:19.
