Tials & Triumphs

Four of the five races have now taken place and we are in a spot of bother for our fifth and last one as the Bexhill Lions Duathlon classic distance event has been cancelled due to low entries -see http://www.bexhill-triathlon.co.uk/.

We are looking around for a suitable and reasonably local replacement (preferably a duathlon before November) so feel free to email lizhalliday2003@yahoo.co.uk with any suggestions.

Since the last update, the Mid-Sussex Triathlon (Sprint) was contested by Erica Martin, Emma Wrightman and Liz Halliday who finished in that order in our women's competition, and by Ro Harrington and Mark Walker in the men's. Then last Saturday saw Malcolm Hughes as the only Brighton Phoenix man so he scooped the top spot, whilst the same three women raced for the points at Bewl Standard Tri and finished as Erica 1st, Liz 2nd, and Emma 3rdEmma having sadly had a bad day.
The championship standings after four events are (with number of races and then total points in brackets):

As soon as we find an alternative event for our fifth race I'll put out an email. Remember its your best three that count toward the points and everyone still has the opportunity to better their position. Those that have done three events already still have scope to put a bad event behind them and those that have not yet done three will have a final opportunity to get some more points.
