Phoenix race, Phoenix winner

Wednesday July 15th saw the annual Phoenix 10k race. Now in its fourth year, this is a flat course starting at Hove Lawns, out against the wind to Carrot's corner, then back.

Attracting nearly 600 runners, this year's calm conditions allowed for some fast times, with Phoenix's Finn McNally taking the lead on the home straight to finish in 31:01.

Congratulations to all the Phoenix runners who took part (but where were the women?!) & a happy 70th birthday to Andrew Haig who finished his 69th year off in style with a time of 41:42!

The atmosphere from the crowd & army of marshals ensured the event went well - thank you to all!
