Youth Commonwealth Selection

The season gets better and better for two of Phoenix's promising youth athletes. Congratulations toArchie DavisandToby Harrieswho have both been selected to represent England at the 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa.

Archie will run in the1500mwhile Toby has been picked for the200mat the prestigious event - which runs between September 5th to 12th - andis open to athletes aged 16 and 17 years (athletes born 1998 and 1999).

England's Team Leader Scott Grace said: “We have worked with Commonwealth Games England to select the best possible team for Samoa. I would like to congratulate each athlete who has been selected and who will now be working with their coaches to achieve strong results in the Games.

“It is important to England Athletics to have successful individual performances at the Commonwealth Youth Games as we recognise the importance of these Games in the development of our senior international athletes. I know each athlete who is part of the team will benefit greatly from this experience and wish them every success in Samoa.”
