Brighton Phoenix Multi-Sports update
Malcolm Hughes takes the lead

The second of five Brighton Phoenix Multi-Sports races, the Haywards Heath Sprint Triathlon, saw two (possibly three) of our men and one of our women battle it out for championship points.

Malcolm Hughes was the first of our men, and the only person to have done two of our championship events, so he takes the lead in the men's competition. In this event he was followed home by Simon Taylor (but racing as Brighton Tri so this raises a question mark), and then Mark Walker. Emma Wrightman was our only woman in this event.

The championship standings after two events are:

Men: Malcolm Hughes 1st, followed by John Tindell, and Alex Bonzi.
Women: Kate Gorman and Emma Wrightman joint 1st, followed by Deb Evers and Hildi Mitchell.

There are three events left. You need your best three results to score.

The next race is 14th June: Mid-Sussex Triathlon (Sprint), 8th August: Bewl Triathlon Standard Distance, 27th September: Bexhill Lions Duathlon classic distance.
