Four sub threes

The London Marathon is the third largest running race in the UK and is part of the World Marathon Majors series. Started in 1981, it is now in its 35th year. A total of 37,675 runners ran the 26.2miles from Blackheath to Westminster in what is billed as the largest London Marathon to date.

Phoenix would like to congratulate all our runners who took part:
Michael Whyte, Paul Weir, David Powell & Steve Groves for finishing sub 3:00:00, Bob Novis & Gill Checkley who ran the Brighton marathon a few weeks ago, Andrew Neighbour for running this race for the first time & Gary Wilson for beating his pb by 13 minutes.
