Good start to the season
Charlotte Matthews made a good start to the opening event in the season of the British Triathlon Youth and Junior Super Series at the British Duathlon Championships at Rockingham Motor Racing circuit in Corby on Sunday 29th March.
Conditions were described as ‘challenging' - wet cold and windy. Charlotte competed for the second year in the girls Youth event, alongside seven others from the SE England Triathlon Academy. She finished 17th overall in a field of 30 finishers and second SE finisher, pleased with having raced in a pack, a much improved time and placing on last year.

Charlotte is grateful for a grant from the Pebble Trust to assist her with triathlon entry fees and equipment. The Pebble Trust is a local charity supporting talented young people in Brighton & Hove and welcome applications twice a year.
