Masterful Masters at SEAA XC Champs + juniors at the inter counties

Oxford 11am Saturday13 December. Conditions sunny and crisp with a surprisingly number of short and sharp hill climbs. In the 10K route there was at least 2K of ankle deep mud to keep us amused.
New boy Paul Whelpton was the star of the day, finishing in 40:40 to take individual O60 bronze. Colin Simpson ran a sturdy 46:46 for 11th in the same category. Andrew Haig ran 45:48 for 10th O65. That all gets calculated up for the O60 team position. Hoorah, we got silver.

Elsewhere on the same day at the same venue, the juniors and senior women were battling in the SEAA inter counties races.
We spotted three Phoenix athletes representing Sussex:
U13 girls Maia Hardman 42nd (Sussex 4th)
U15 girls Almi Nerurkar 9th (Sussex 12th)
U17 men Archie Davis 15th (Sussex 9th)
