Pepper forges on
Jon Pepper showed he was not to be trifled with at the Brooks Brighton 10k by storming to the finish from 30m behind to take second place. Such was his finish he was only seven seconds from the winner!
The Brooks Brighton 10k saw 18 Phoenix athletes amongst the 3500 competitors. Amongst those deserving a special mention are our hat-trick of runners who achieved a pb; Patrick Acaye, who finished a respectable 17th , Paul Whelpton, who was also 1st M60 & Gill Checkley. Mark Cossey is known to have run as a guide for a partially sighted runner.
