A Commonwealth to be proud of

Phoenix's Charlie Grice became one of only 3 British athletes to run in the 1500m final at the Commonwealth Games on Saturday 2nd July.

Qualifying second in his heat with a time of 30:40:09 Charlie demonstrated he was ready for this international competition.

The final, which was delayed following heavy rain, went off at a slower pace. Charlie did himself proud finishing 7th in 3:41:58 but he was again pipped at the post by the Scot Chris O'Hare who finished 1 second in front of him (3:40:63). The winner, James Kiplagat Magut, won in 3:39:31 - seconds behind Charlie's recorded personal best of 3:35:59!
