New running track at Withdean Sports Complex

Tuesday 25th September 2012

Good news!!! Brighton & Hove City Council is laying a new state of the art running track at the Withdean Sports Complex.
Following an award by Sport England of £250,000, thanks to Paul Collicutt in helping support this bid. The council will top up the cost of the £500,000 project.
The track, which is now in poor condition leading to increased training injuries, will include new electronic start and finish equipment.
Among the club's great Olympic athletes that have trained and raced at the track are Steve Ovett, Mark Rowland and Sally Gunnell.
