Event details
The BMC organise middle distance races around the country, structured around a set of paced races to give athletes fantastic opportunities to improve their PBs. Subsequently, they cater for a wide range of abilities.
Phoenix actively supports the BMC and encourages our athletes to take part in their events. As a club we will continue to put the emphasis on improving the individual’s ability and these races give athletes opportunities to run against, guaranteed, quality opposition.
If you achieve a BMC standard you can join the British Milers Club, and Phoenix will pay for membership subject to certain criteria. All of this is a fantastic springboard to propel our athletes into positions to go on and race at higher championship-level races in the future.

Brighton Phoenix BMC Open Meeting
The club's BMC Open Meet takes place on Wednesday 3 May starts 1815. This meeting gives paced races for all abilities for 100, 200, 800m, 1500m and 3000m and in recent years has featured current and future Great Britain & Northern Ireland internationals.
