    Fantastic race and evening to celebrate the life of Andrew Brooks, much loved club mate...in his memory and linked to the event Club Members raised over £3000 to buy three defibrillators. 

    In a big turnout of 38 runners plus many marshalls, photographers and supporters, congratulations to everyone involved but especially the Feltons, Lydia and Hannah, first and second respectively in the handicap race, Bobby Searle, fastest woman in 33:25, and Simon Heath fastest male in 27:41. 

    Thanks to Liz and team for organising such a memorable event. 

    RIP Andrew Brooks.

    This is a race between Runners and Horses and riders across the cambrian mountains. The challenge is for Runners to finish in a faster time than the first Horse. Note that it has been done twice before in 38 years.  This year the horse was again the champions but fantastic effort from from Alex for taking on the challenge

    North Downs Way 50

    Sat 18 May 2019 (North Downs)

    Near perfect conditions greeted 252 runners for the 9th edition of the North Downs Way 50. The fast first half with a minimal amount of climb deliver the majority of runners to the foot of Box Hill at mile 24, in super fast times at the front and with a significant buffer over the cut offs at the back. Then the real work begins. After Box Hill, runners ascend Reigate Hill before the check point at Wray Lane at the 50km mark. And the final 19 miles in from there feature many short sharp ascents and of course the more remote fields and trails of the final 5km. Flat, but never ending!
